RASA have developed this resource to make your entry into the hobby easier and cheaper.
Like all our resources, the Foundation Level Study Guide is free, and we encourage you to share it with your club, friends and others who may be interested in becoming a radio amateur.
The resource is backed up by our other award-winning resources, including QRM Guru, the Welcome to Amateur Radio Guidebook and other resources on our website.
Version 3.1, December 2025 – fixes some broken links that “happened” in V3, and a minor amendment to the text on ATUs.
Updates in V3 (November 2025) include:
• New Chapter 11 which includes information about the Practical Assessment
• Updates on contact details for clubs providing courses
This resource is unique. Not only is it up-to-date with the latest information on the Class Licence, but it includes tailored instructional videos, links to useful websites, and extra “good to know” learning opportunities.
